Should I communicate with a Verified Dealer off-site?
Verified Dealers have been evaluated as legitimate businesses by Audiogon. Part of their membership benefit is being able to freely communicate with buyers. Audiogon does not discourage off-site communication with a Verified Dealer, as we understand logistics and product questions may be too complex for back-and-forth messages. However, keeping communication on Audiogon provides us with evidence in the event of a dispute. If something was said on the phone, there's no way for us to side with you if you end up needing to dispute the transaction.
