Audiogon Listing Types

Audiogon offers two types of listings that are designed to support different seller needs.

Listing Rules

While there are two listing types with different behaviors, there are rules that govern the marketplace that apply to all listings on Audiogon. 

1. Buy It Now is Required
   • Reduces fraud. Plus, some buyers do not want to go through the process of sending Offers back and forth. They want to simply pay for an item at a price a seller has set. 
2. No Contact Information
   • You may not include contact information in your descriptions or messages. 
3. No Soliciting Off-Site Communications
   • You may not attempt to take communications or transactions off-site.

Listing Types

We offer two different options to list an item on our marketplace in front of hundreds of thousands of similar-minded enthusiasts and shoppers.

List for 90

Listing Fee Cost: $10
Duration: 90 Days
Transaction Fee If Sold: 8% of Sold Item Price Up to $10,000. 3.5% on Amount Beyond.

List for 90 listings are perfect for quick-selling items, or sellers concerned with out-of-pocket costs. Just pay $10 to list an item for 90 days and only get charged a transaction fee if it sells.

List Until Sold

Listing Fee Cost: 6% of Asking Price
Duration: Indefinite
Transaction Fee If Sold: None

List Until Sold (LUS) listings do not incur any transaction fee when item sells. They are ideal for popular products that will sell quickly or items that may take longer to sell (high-dollar items, complex logistics, etc.) You simply pay 6% of what you set as your asking price, and as the name suggests, it will run for as long as the item is available.

LUS listings will remain active until the seller:

1. Sells the item
   • Item was sold to someone on Audiogon or elsewhere.
2. Ends the Listing
   • Seller may no longer wish to have the item for sale.
3. Has 90 days of inactivity on Audiogon
   • Ensures that Audiogon's inventory is not stale, or becomes full of items not actually still available.

A seller may relist an inactive (Reason 2 or 3 above) LUS listing at any point in the future from the Expired tab of their Seller Dashboard. There is no limit to how many times an LUS listing can be relisted, and there is no expiration date.

You paid upfront to list it on Audiogon, and we want you to be able to find a buyer.

However, understand that while buyer interest may ebb and flow based on seasonality and industry interest, if your listing spends a significant time on Audiogon without interest you may need to adjust the price, photos, description, etc. as your expectations may not be aligned with the market.

Cost Examples

While listing fees are rather straightforward, the easiest way to calculate your total investment and profit if it sells on Audiogon is to use our Fee Calculator on our Sell Page. Below is additional information and examples for ease of reference.

There is a minimum cost of $5 to list an item on Audiogon, and a minimum transaction fee of $5.

Unlike eBay, we don't calculate transaction fees off sales price, taxes, and shipping cost—only on the sales price of the item.

Below are several examples. Total cost assumes item sold:

List for 90 transaction fee: 8% on $10,000 ($800) and 3.5% on the remaining $2,720 ($95.20).

For comparison, as of June 2026, a private user's final value fee for the same item on eBay would be $1,143.19—a difference of $237.99. This doesn't factor in that they would also charge their percentage on your shipping cost and taxes.
